Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, when he was 10 (way back in 1969) his parents “discovered” this area during a business trip/vacation and it became the family’s second home. Over several decades and multiple family investments in the Gulf Coast area, Brent has long-time, first-hand knowledge of Southwest Florida real estate.
Licensed in Florida and Ohio, his customers are assured because he works in an ethical, professional and controlled manner. Over the years and a multitude of Buyers and Sellers, each one unique in their own way, he has honed the exceptional skills necessary to help simplify your transaction. And with a diverse background of business ownership, marketing and public relations, plus a Midwestern work ethic, he has a track record of successfully helping customers navigate the often complicated real estate process.
His brokerage career began at Buckeye Real Estate, where he sold high-end residential homes and student housing properties to investors. Prior to joining John R. Wood Properties, Brent was a senior adviser at SVN Commercial, and spent 10 years at Prudential Commercial Real Estate. As such, he is well experienced in the analysis, development and implementation of short and long-range strategic plans for portfolio real estate. He is highly active with Business Network Associates, a network of professionals who assist high net-worth clients with their real estate, financial and travel needs. He is also a past president of a Midwest organization of wealth advisers, brokers and real estate counselors specializing in 1031 tax-deferred exchanges.
Brent and his significant other, Lauren Sims, live in Naples with their two golden doodles – Jack and Sampson. Away from the office, he is a personal safety instructor with the Refuse To Be A Victim crime avoidance program, and volunteers as a beach monitor with Turtle Time Inc., to support sea turtle conservation.
