  4. Sprint for a cure at the fourth annual Stiletto Sprint in downtown Naples. Starting at 4 p.m. on Saturday, hundreds of racers and thousands of admirers will watch women, men and children don high heels and race to the finish line. Plus, there’s live entertainment from the Greg Miller Band, a beer garden and more. www.komenswfl.org
  5. Kicking off its performance season at Artis—Naples, Opera Naples presents Gian Carlo Menotti’s short paranormal opera The Medium. Directed by TheatreZone’s Mark Danni, the show plays at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. www.artisnaples.org

1. Chuck E. Cheese/ Culver’s Openings

The first Chuck E. Cheese in Collier County opened this week in suite 70 of the Granada Shoppes, 1000 Immokalee Road, which is good news for grownups and kids. After you’re done playing games at Chuck E. Cheese, you can swing by Culver’s for burgers and frozen custard. The popular Midwestern chain opened its first restaurant in Collier County this week at 5775 Airport-Pulling Road N.

2. Fort Myers Music Walk

When: Friday, Sept. 20 from 7 p.m. until close

Where: Various venues in the Downtown Fort Myers River District

Want to sample fresh sounds from the region’s local musicians? Then you should head over to Music Walk in downtown Fort Myers. Every third Friday, the River District transforms. Its historic streets close down and the music gets turned up. Several downtown bars, shops, restaurants and hot spots bring in live acts, and you can typically check out street musicians as you venue hop. There’s no way to know exactly who might show up to play, and that unpredictability is one of Music Walk’s charms.

Where: Boys and Girls Club of Collier County Main Campus, 7500 Davis Blvd., Naples

It’s a Day For Kids at the Boys & Girls Club of Collier County, 7500 Davis Blvd., Naples on Saturday, Sept. 21. Come out for a fun day where adults can spend meaningful time with young people and engage in fun activities from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Activities include face painting, a dunk tank, bounce house and an obstacle course. Information: www.dayforkids.org.

4. Riddim Runway Festival 2013

When: Friday, Sept. 20 from 3 p.m. to midnight

Where: Library Lawn at Florida Gulf Coast University, 10501 FGCU Blvd. S, Fort Myers

Cost: Free admission with canned goods donation for the FGCU food bank

Wind it up as you wind down at the sixth annual Riddim Runway Festival. The carnival-themed festival will give you an opportunity to celebrate Caribbean culture while giving back to the Southwest Florida community. Admission is free upon donation of canned goods for the Florida Gulf Coast University food bank. And the feel-good vibes probably won’t stop at the entrance, either. Included in the line-up are a Caribbean fashion runway show and live performances from international dance hall and reggae artists.

5. 96-KROCK Rockwave Festival

Where: Saturday, Sept. 21 at 12 p.m.

Where: JetBlue Park, 11581 Daniels Pkwy., Fort Myers

Cost: Tickets start at $45

96-KROCK’s Rockwave Festival promises to give you a thrill the likes of which Southwest Floridians don’t often get to experience without driving to larger cities such as Tampa or Miami. The all-day music showcase at JetBlue Park, the spring training home of the Boston Red Sox, includes Jane’s Addiction, Stone Temple Pilots with Chester Bennington (Linkin Park), Filter, Anberlin and Chevelle.
