Tom literally has been a realtor his entire adult life, getting his license 40 years ago. He grew up on the westside of Cleveland Ohio. Early evidence of his drive and focus on accomplishment was attaining both his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and also his Master of Accountancy & Financial Information Systems, both, in just 4 years and 3 months while working 16-24 hours per week at a 9-11 store. This allowed him to attain has goal of joining the international CPA firm in the Business Consulting Group rather than auditing with Deloitte, Haskins & Sells (now Deloitte-Touche).
During his 5 years in the Consulting Group he also worked as a realtor. His love was real estate, not public accounting. It was a need to work in a more personal, outgoing industry which caused him to leave D,H&S in 1986 to pursue his Love ... real estate as his sole career.
During his 19 years as a realtor in the Cleveland Ohio area he attained tremendous success in real estate. Having invaluable experience and knowledge in finance, economics, financial planning, tax, etc allowed him to excel in residential sales, new home sales, investment & commercial as well as the sale of some businesses. Tom’s analytical accuem helped his to have success in the Builder Marketing Service group of a large real estate firm he worked for in the 1980s & 1990s He had a true love of new construction, development and building and excelled in New Home sales at a new Golf & Country Club development.
The next 21 years were even better focusing on 2nd Home Sales! In 2003 he got his broker license and opened up his own real estate company. He has been the Top Producing Agent in the county he lived and worked in 10 years straight, truly dominating the sales in a Lake Community in Ohio. He attributes his success in this indeavor to a mentor who took him under his wing in the mid 90,s and taught him the difference between “Selling a LifeStyle, more than Selling Homes” at the Golf & Country Club community where he was again the top salesperson.
In addition to being a Real Estate Broker in both Florida and Ohio, he also is a licensed Auctioneer in both Florida and Ohio.
Tom came to Marco Island in 2013 on a Sunday morning after breakfast in Naples. Wanting to see Marco Island after hearing many good things about it, He drove down to Marco and fell in love with it that day. To this day he remembers walking out on a lot on Dan River and saying to himself, “Wow. This is gorgeous … I will live here someday.”
The dream came true when he purchased his 1st home on the Island in 2015 and then another in 2016. Now with a home to live in and a vacation rental, he is truly “Living The Dream.”
